You walk casually, swinging the laptop back and forth between your arms, which is easy, since it weighs well under one pound (0.45 kg) and isn't much thicker than a checkbook. Although it has no carrying case, you hardly blink after dropping it onto the concrete sidewalk. Instead you pick it up, dust it off, and continue on your way. When you arrive at your desk, you toss the laptop down on the table and open it up. The screen immediately unfolds, spreading out into an enormous display! While this scenario sounds very futuristic, it actually isn't that far from reality, thanks in part to a concept design called a Fabric PC (personal computer), produced by Fujistu, Inc. Amazingly, a Fabric PC won't be encased within a tough metal shell like the PCs that have been around up to this point.

Please Make a Note Of It. The original version of RSS, created by UserLand in 1997, stands for RDF Site Summary or Rich Site Summary. Netscape Communications used the technology to deliver content to users of its MyNetscape portal. In 2003, the name changed to Really Simple Syndication with the release of the RSS 2.0 standard when a new team began work on it. Reading RSS feeds can be a great time-saver. In the time it takes you to scan whole Web pages for information, you can review headlines from dozens of sites all collected in one place.
But what if you wanted to know more about that a flu epidemic that's spreading through a nearby city? Google would like to help with that. As many as 72 percent of American adults admit they've looked up health information online in the past year - that's about 90 million people, mostly searching for information about specific conditions such as a cough or flu, or treatments such as antibiotics. Think about what kind of information is sitting in those search engine databases. Google Flu Trends (GFT) is an Internet-based influenza surveillance tool that uses aggregated search query data to predict flu trends in more than 25 countries, including the U.S. Google engineers used five years of historical big data - and we mean big. They tapped into their database of 50 million of the most commonly used prefiltered search queries to establish a baseline of general flu activity. The initial algorithm for the prediction tool relied solely on regional flu-related search query data (regional based on IP address), including overarching topics such as general influenza symptoms, cold remedies and antiviral medications.|A first-year medical student at Bukovinian State Medical University (BSMU), Chernivtsi, who returned to Vadodara on February 21, Astha Sindha, has begun attending her full day’s classes online. Her father Arvind Sindha told The Indian Express on Wednesday, “We took the decision to book her tickets to return home after analysing the situation. She had travelled to Ukraine in November. Sindha had met the government Ministers earlier this month, seeking evacuation of Gujarati students from Ukraine. “I am not sure if it was after my representation, but the restrictions imposed on flights to Ukraine were eased and we could book tickets on an Air India flight. Otherwise, due to the high demand, airlines had hiked the ticket prices to Rs 2 lakh,” Sindha said. Another parent, Paresh Patel from Vadodara, says that his daughter Vrunda, who is a fifth-year medical student at BSMU, Chernivtsi, has decided to continue staying in Ukraine.
It's also why the subject of Russia is such a divisive one in Ukraine: a lot of the country sees Moscow as the source of Ukraine's historical subjugation and something to be resisted, while others tend to look on Russia more fondly, with a sense of shared heritage and history. Crimea is considered by most of the world to be a region of Ukraine that's under hostile Russian occupation. Russia considers it a rightful and historical region of Russia that it helped to liberate in March. Geographically, it is a peninsula in the Black Sea with a location so strategically important that it has been fought over for centuries. Crucially, Crimea spent a very long time before 1991 as part of the Soviet Union and the Russian Empire, and most of its citizens are Russians themselves. As we rely more and more on our cell phones, we want to do more than just talk -- we want to send text messages, e-mail, surf the Internet. And if video conferencing is an option -- well, we'll probably take it. Imagine being on the phone and being able to watch the other person's facial expressions and body language. Sometimes just a smile or a disinterested look can speak volumes. Video conferencing promises that ability, and the feature isn't far from mainstream grasp. It most likely will become commonplace as cell phone companies embrace 3Gtechnology. 3G, which refers to the third generation of cellular technology, means improved cell phone networks and more advanced features, including video conferencing.
ESP is thought to be a special sense beyond the physical world. So if this man has "the gift," he should be able to tell what the pattern is on that ESP test card on his forehead. Most likely, you've never been abducted by aliens, and you probably don't know anybody who's had a brush with Bigfoot. But undoubtedly, you or somebody close to you has had the apparently paranormal experience of "seeing" the future or distant events. Most of us have dreamed something that eventually came true, had a correct hunch about an event miles away or predicted an out-of-the-blue phone call from an old friend. The experience is incredibly strange -- positively spooky -- but it happens all the time. So what's going on here? Depends on who you ask. A sizable chunk of the world's population attributes these strange events to extrasensory perception (ESP), a special sense beyond vision, hearing, smell, touch and taste. Unlike ordinary senses, ESP has virtually unlimited range, and it's experienced mainly as thoughts rather than bodily sensations.
