Oil prices jumped nearly $3 per barrel on unease about possible disruption of Russian supplies. Earlier, Wall Street’s benchmark S&P 500 index fell 1.8% to an eight-month low after the Kremlin said rebels in eastern Ukraine asked for military assistance. Investors already were uneasy about the possible impact of the Federal Reserve’s plans to try to cool inflation by withdrawing ultra-low interest rates and other stimulus that boosted share prices. Ukrainian Ambassador Sergiy Kyslytsya said Wednesday night that if Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia was not in a position to give a positive answer, he should relinquish the presidency of the Security Council, which Russia holds this month. The Ukrainian then asked for another emergency meeting of the Security Council, calling on the U.N. Kyslytsya then asked if he should play the video of Putin announcing military operations being launched in Ukraine. Nebenzia replied: “This isn’t called a war. WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden is condemning Russia for an “unprovoked and unjustified attack” on Ukraine.
But thanks to a joint effort from Milan Polytechnic, Pisa University and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, we have conclusive evidence that the blade was made from meteoric iron. The research team, headed up by the paper's lead author, Daniela Comelli, used portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry to analyze the composition of the dagger. That examination revealed that the metal of the blade is almost 11 percent nickel, a very clear indicator of meteoric iron. For comparison, quarried iron has a roughly 4 percent nickel composition. The team also observed cobalt traces in the blade, which serves as further confirmation of its meteoric origin. But before you start a new religion based on the idea that Tutankhamun was some sort of space angel or otherworldly deity, pause and read on. It's actually pretty common for ancient iron objects to be made from materials with extraterrestrial pedigrees. Comelli and her team actually used the compositional data of the blade's metal to identify the very meteorite that's the most likely source of the dagger's materials. That meteorite, called Kharga, is an octahedrite fragment. It was found in 2000 near the seaport of Mersa Matruh. Of the known meteorites in a 2,000-kilometer (1,243-mile) radius around the Red Sea, only that one has a composition that matches King Tut's burial blade. So while the Egyptian monarch's burial dagger wasn't delivered to him intact from some very creative and metallurgically skilled alien race, the craftspeople of ancient Egypt likely selected the meteoric iron because they attributed value, or even divine significance, to it due to its heavenly origin.
Viewers can react, share, and comment during the stream. A recording of the video is also published to the page or profile so it can be watched again later. Why are marketers getting so excited about Facebook Live? Because it's a fun and fairly simple way for them to use the power of video to communicate their brand stories and build authentic relationships with fans and followers - in real-time. However, for such a simple concept, Facebook Live has a lot of little nuances that marketers will need to learn if they want to get the most out of the platform. This guide will help you learn the best tricks that can make a big difference in how many people see your live broadcast, how they engage with it, and how it performs. Facebook Live started as a mobile-only broadcasting feature, but now, Facebook Pages can broadcast from either mobile devices or desktop computers.
To provide users with genuine and realistic visual experience, these advanced video applications require much higher fidelity on spatial resolution, frame rate, number of views and spectrum, which dramatically increase the data volume to dozens or even hundreds times of the conventional 2D video. The large data amount has been bottleneck and critical challenging issue for video transmission/streaming (Lee et al., 2021), storage and computing. To tackle this problem, developing highly effective video coding algorithms to compress video data smaller becomes one of the key solutions. The worldwide researchers and organizations have made significant contributions to video coding standards and technologies. In the past three decades, the video coding technologies and standards have been developed for four generations, where the leading standards in each generation are MPEG-1/2, H.264/Advanced Video Coding (AVC), High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) (Sullivan et al., 2012) and Versatile Video Coding (VVC) (Bross et al., 2021b). In 2003, the experts from ITU-T Video Coding Expert Group (VCEG) and ISO Moving Picture Expert Group (MPEG) established the Joint Video Team (JVT) to develop the H.264/AVC, which is one of the most successful standards that have been widely used in SD/HD video applications nowadays.
1) We introduce multimodal self-supervised learning for video summarization, where semantic representations of videos and text are learned by training a multimodal encoder on a new dataset consisting of video-text pairs. 2) Based on the multimodal encoder, we propose a progressive video summarization method where each input video sequence is enhanced in a multi-stage fashion. The multimodal encoder can also be leveraged to incorporate text information for better video summarization. 3) We present an objective evaluation framework based on video classification to measure the quality of summaries, which is easy to be extended to large-scale utilization. Video summarization methods can be roughly classified into supervised methods and unsupervised ones. We review existing methods according to the category they belong to. Conventional machine learning algorithms such as clustering. Dictionary learning were widely exploited in unsupervised methods. Besides, unsupervised methods based on deep neural networks were presented in recent works. Numerous deep models were developed to capture the temporal dependencies in either local fashion or global fashion.|There's no standard rule of thumb for what kind of person might undertake the sport of ice fishing, aside from being able to deal with bitterly cold weather. For the most part, what sets ice fishermen apart is where they choose to "cut their hole." In the United States, it's a social sport. Temporary fishing huts are assembled en masse, resembling a small shantytown on a frozen lake bed. Heaters and chairs are set up, the bottle is passed, stories are told and eventually some fish get caught. In Finland, you're more likely to see the solitary fisherman braving the elements fully exposed with a turned over plastic bucket as a seat. But there are two things common to all ice fishermen -- patience and a resistance to biting, cold weather. Even though a permanent ice fishing shelter might have padded chairs, a heater and satellite television, it's not exactly a comfort sport when you're fishing in subzero temperatures.

Trump says grocery stores are out of bread. Here are some near Mar-a-Lago that have it in stock.
