ADHERE contains a collection of data on heart failure patients going back to 2001, and it holds data on 105,000 patients with decompensated heart failure (a condition in which the heart is unable to maintain adequate blood circulation). In this analysis, patients were divided into two groups: those with and without renal insufficiency.
