Kids can dream up some pretty awesome jobs, but can they keep the dream alive when they grow up? If you've ever asked a 5-year-old what she wants to be when she grows up, you'll probably recognize a theme. Astronaut, dancer, poet, princess, unicorn trainer - whatever the answer, it usually sounds like a lot of fun. Fifteen or 20 years later, that sense of fun will likely be trumped by a sense of financial responsibility. It's almost a rite of passage to give up the idea that a grown-up job can be fun. But fun and money aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. To be sure, even in the entertainment industry, Fallon is an anomaly. The jobs in which workers claim to be happiest are far less glamorous, but most pay a decent wage. There are also plenty of jobs that pay next to nothing and are a real drag. And even jobs that once seemed like a lot of fun, once you're in them long enough, can start to feel like work.
Estimates are part of how the Hollywood box office works, but there is also a tracking system that provides more exact figures. So why do studios continue to report estimated weekend box office totals to the media on Sunday before providing accurate totals on Monday? One reason is that not every ticket sale is tracked automatically; there's a lag in reporting time for a chunk of North American theaters. The other and perhaps more important reason is that the box office has become part of the news, and the media reports weekend totals on Sunday. If estimates get slightly puffed up, it only helps a movie's reputation, and news outlets are unlikely to report updated numbers on Monday. It's all part of the how the Hollywood box office works, and estimates are usually pretty accurate. When you consider that the fourth Transformers film already had the highest opening weekend of the year, before the controversy, and then went on to become the highest grossing film of 2014 after just two weeks of release, it doesn't seem worth it to lie about just $3 million (after all, we're talking Transformers money).
The High Altitude Water Cherenkov (HAWC) observatory is a very high energy gamma-ray detector located in Mexico. In late 2018, the HAWC collaboration completed a major upgrade consisting of the addition of a sparse outrigger array of 345 small water Cherenkov detectors (WCDs) surrounding the 300 WCDs of the main array and extending the instrumented area by a factor of 4. It provides an improved reconstruction of the showers whose core and footprint are not well contained in the array and increases the effective area in the range of a few TeV to beyond 100 TeV. This improvement in sensitivity will help to have a better understanding of the Galactic sources that accelerate particles up to the knee of the cosmic ray spectrum. In this contribution, we will show the current status, the performance, and the first results from the HAWC outrigger array. The High Altitude Water Cherenkov (HAWC) is a very-high-energy gamma-ray observatory located at 4100 m altitude on the volcano Sierra Negra in the state of Puebla in central Mexico.|Extreme Sports Image Gallery A trip down the mountain in Whistler, British Columbia. See more pictures of extreme sports. Some of us are satisfied skiing at large resorts or local runs, the more daring of us on on black diamond trails. The rest of us are generally happy to enjoy the skiing experience from a perch near the log fireplace in the lodge. But some brave ski souls just can't scratch the adventure itch with the offerings provided. Instead, they crave uncharted territories to "drop in" on. Hans Gmoser knew that feeling. In 1955, Gmoser began flying airplanes full of skiers to remote Canadian glaciers, allowing them to ski in the summertime. Soon, more guides were airlifting skiers to hard-to-reach spots all around the world. If you could afford it, the destination was a skier's paradise: unskied terrain, untouched powder, and a course that reveals itself with each new drop and turn.
This strategy is obviously very expensive and a lot of work, so it's tempting to put this in the "obsessive" category. However, it delivers serious results, and it's typically done by the hardcore enthusiasts with a true commitment to the lifestyle (and usually on cars that are a couple of decades old). And there's plenty more. The following eco mods are typically seen only on a car with a lot of other eco mods. The individual tradeoff for each mod is minor relative to cost and effort, but when they're all combined (especially on a car with the aforementioned drivetrain conversion), these drivers achieve some impressive numbers. Some eco-modded cars feature a solar panel on the roof -- not as a primary source of power, but rather to assist the battery on startup. It's very expensive for the tradeoff of taking a minor load off of the alternator, saving power and gas only at startup.
A picture, after all, is worth 1,000 words, which is a lot more generous than Twitter's 140 characters. Consumers crave gadgets that allow them to take high-quality pictures. Instantly share them via their favorite social media networks. Smartphones are wonderful for this. The iPhone 5 comes with a built-in 8 megapixel still camera, and pictures can quickly be edited and posted on countless social networks. Digital camera manufacturers are taking notice of the rise of the social picture gadget. Hoping that there's a market for high-resolution cameras with extensive social media features. The WiFi-enabled S800c runs Google's Android operating system. Includes a 3.5-inch (8.89 centimeter) touchscreen.5-inch (8.89 centimeter) touchscreen. Samsung's DV300 is also WiFi-enabled and includes a "social sharing" option to upload photos and videos directly to social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Picasa and Photobucket. Both cameras have on-screen keyboards to create short titles. Captions to go along with the photos. If you watch TV with an iPad or other tablet in hand, you're more likely to simultaneously tweet or talk about the show on social media than if you have a smartphone. When Nielsen polled American consumers in July 2011, only 3 percent used a tablet device to access social media. Tablet users have a different relationship with their device than smartphone users, and this relationship affects the way they use social media. Tablets are larger and bulkier than smartphones, which makes them less inherently "mobile" than devices that easily fit in your pocket. Social Media Presence: Xbox vs.|Understanding how and why seasonal color analysis can enhance your life through helping you to make the best color choices is worth finding out about! Without it, even the simplest task of choosing what clothes to wear can sometimes take you forever, and even then you are not sure that they are right for you. Color analysis plays a large part in every area of our lives: From waking up in the morning and looking at the sky, to see if it will be a good day for you, to looking at yourself to see if you look vibrant and healthy or weak and pale. In deciding if the food we eat is fresh or rotten, or if it's healthy, leafy or not. It happens when you walk in the streets and see all things moving around you, it's the colour that makes the world come alive. Now let me explain how color analysis works. This is closely linked with the four seasons of the year, and in its truest form a seasonal colour palette is used to help you choose the best colors for you.
