But how could Colombia, which ranks 37th on this year's World Happiness Report, be the real winner? The answer is that there are two distinct ways of gauging happiness. The World Happiness Report relies on data from the Gallup World Poll, a massive survey of 160 countries in 140 languages covering topics from government corruption to job security to LGBTQ rights. The most recent report covers data from 2015-2017). The section of the Gallup World Poll that asks people questions about their personal well-being includes 12 questions that are designed to elicit two very different kinds of answers about happiness. Jon Clifton is a global managing partner at Gallup. Remembers when the Gallup World Poll was first conceived in 2005. He says that the survey design team consulted with some top minds - including the Nobel Prize-winners Daniel Kahneman, psychologist, and economist Angus Deaton - and decided to include two different types of happiness questions in the poll: one that's an overall "life evaluation" from zero to 10, and another that focuses on the emotional experiences of daily life.
The outrigger array is composed of 345 tanks filled with purified water. Each tank is 1.55 m in diameter and 1.65 m in height and they are separated with distance between 12 to 18 m. They are equipped by a single Hamamatsu R5912 8” photomulitplier tube (PMT) upward facing and anchored at the bottom of the tank. In order to limit the cable length between tanks and the readout electronics, the array is divided into 5 sections, named with letters from A to E (see Fig 1) containing 69 tanks each. The equipment needed to run and acquire the data for each section is centralised into nodes located in the middle of each section. The deployment of the outrigger array happened between September 2017. September 2018 (the timeline can be seen in Figure 1). The array has been continuously taking data since then. Analogue signals from the PMTs are sent through RG-59 cables to the node. This signal is separated from the HV that powers the PMT by a pick-off module.|Remember when having GPS in the palm of your hand was novel? Now it's standard equipment for many drivers. Any device that can make the journey easier, safer and more entertaining for you and your passengers is going to be well worth the cost. There are many gadgets available today that can help make the journey more pleasant -- even fun. The key thing to remember is that a road trip doesn't mean going without. Internet, you can have it at all your fingertips while you travel. Take global positioning systems. The latest GPS devices not only give you driving directions, they guide you into the proper lane at intersections and offer updates on weather and traffic. Many new cars come with GPS built in. These 10 cool gadgets may soon make it onto your must-have list for future highway excursions. Mobile routers like this one offered by Autonet ensure that you're connected to the Internet wherever you roam. Systems like the Autonet Mobile router let you take the Internet with you in your car.
Lipids circulating in their bloodstreams. This can lead to the buildup of atherosclerotic plaques in blood vessels, which increases the risks of high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. So, obesity is a well-known risk factor for developing cardiovascular disease. Next, we'll learn how scientists discovered the obesity paradox. In 2001, A. Mosterd and colleagues from the Netherlands studied the prognosis of patients diagnosed with heart failure. They did statistical analyses on more than 5,000 patients, some of whom had heart failure. They found that patients with low BMIs. Low blood pressure had more in-hospital deaths than patients with higher BMIs. The researchers claimed that their discoveries supported similar findings from a 1993 study in Massachusetts, and since 2001, at least eight studies have supported the findings. So, even though obesity is a well-known risk factor for heart failure and would be expected to cause problems for obese heart-failure patients, it seems that the opposite could be true.
But that's recently changed, with a new analysis of the Eriauchenius and Madagascarchaea spider genera. Arachnologists sorted the spiders studied into 26 different species, 18 of which had never been described before this research. Hannah M. Wood of the Department of Entomology in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History published a report on January 11, 2018, on the spiders in the journal ZooKeys with Nikolaj Scharff of the Natural History Museum of Denmark. The team studied spiders collected through their own fieldwork in Madagascar as well as obtained from collections of museums and institutions around the globe. These Madagascan spiders' long "necks" and jaw-like mouth parts aren't unique only because of the way they look, but also because of the way they're used to prey on other spiders. These pelican spiders use their long, fang-tipped "jaws," or chelicerae, to impale prey and then, in order to protect themselves from counterattacks, hold victims away from their bodies until they die. Dr. Wood explained in an interview with The New York Times. Wood also suspects that the spiders wave their long jaws to search for the silk draglines of other spiders. So if the pelican spider's appearance provides its name, its behavior is the source of the other name people call it - the assassin spider. Though spiders primarily subsist on animal prey, a 2016 study in the Journal of Arachnology chronicled more than 60 different arachnid species turning vegetarian, consuming nectar, sap, seeds, pollen and other parts of plants for nutrition.
However, Zoom had already announced a cloud contact center product called Zoom Video Engagement Center, which it had planned to launch in early 2022 - and that, effectively, is what is going to market today under a new name. Zoom Contact Center, as the new product is called, is pitched as an omnichannel contact center that is integrated directly into Zoom, meaning it supports the usual Zoom Chat features directly in the main interface. At launch, Zoom Contact Center is optimized for video calls, though it’s not clear to what extent customers wish to engage with support teams over video - and that is why Zoom’s solution supports voice calls too. The company is also working on SMS and web chat functionality, which are currently available in beta, though there is curiously no mention of support for instant messaging services such as WhatsApp. On top of that, Zoom Contact Center features such as real-time analytics serve companies with insights into agent productivity, call time, waiting times, service level satisfaction, and more. While countless other cloud-based contact center companies have gained traction and raised sizable VC funding rounds over the past couple of years, Zoom holds a major trump card in that it’s already familiar to millions of people globally. This, according to Zoom, “reduces ramp time and learning curves” for companies considering a shift from their existing provider, be that a legacy phone system or rival cloud contact center.
