117th Congress: Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.)

Post by AzertPuh »

Didn’t realize that it was a political project that went hand in hand with NATO membership. If you join the EU, you’re lost to Russia as a market, but also as a sphere of political influence. They woke up to that early in the Putin administration and, at least since a famous speech by President Putin in Munich in 2007, have vigorously opposed the expansion of all of the Western institutions. A key turning point came in 2008. In April of that year, NATO supported both Georgia and Ukraine’s application to begin the process of joining the organization. However, by summer the plans were in ruins. In an effort to reintegrate territories it had lost during civil war and the breakup of the Soviet Union, Georgia invaded South Ossetia, a Russian protectorate in northern Georgia. The Russians pushed them out and then advanced almost to the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, then went home. In doing so, they effectively demonstrated to NATO countries that expansion to Georgia isn’t safe.|The year of 2012 is going to be rather significant for Ukraine. Elections to the Verhovna Rada, Ukrainian Parliament, are rather important for the political life of the country. The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, which is going to be held in Poland and Ukraine in June and July, is rather important for Ukrainian economy and the country's image in the world. Poland and Ukraine are sharing the honor to host final tournament for 16 best European Football teams. Ukraine was given a loan of 5 billion Euros to be well-prepared for the upcoming tournament. As a result, Ukrainian stadia, roads and hotels are in much better condition and most facilities correspond to European standards. The Ukrainian cities to welcome the Euro 2012 matches are Kiev, Donetsk, Kharkov and Lvov. Kiev is the capital of Ukraine with the population of more than 3, 5 million people. The city which is more than 1,500 years old is really worth seeing, especially in summer.
In 2009, Romanian analyst Iulian Chifu and his co-authors opined that in regard to Ukraine, Russia has pursued an updated version of the Brezhnev Doctrine, which dictates that the sovereignty of Ukraine cannot be larger than that of the Warsaw Pact's member states prior to the collapse of the Soviet sphere of influence during the late-1980s and early-1990s. This view is built upon the premise that Russia's actions to placate the West in the early 1990s should have been met with reciprocity from the West, without NATO expansion along Russia's border. Following weeks of protests as part of the Euromaidan movement (2013-2014), pro-Russian Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the leaders of the Ukrainian parliamentary opposition on 21 February 2014 signed a settlement agreement that called for an early election. The following day, Yanukovych fled from Kyiv ahead of an impeachment vote that stripped him of his powers as president. 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine.|Video production has changed the way we see the world. It permits us to see and comprehend what is being displayed without the dreariness of perusing little print content. Without the vicinity of a video, it is a great deal harder to handle what is within reach and what is intended to be passed on through the piece. It was accounted for that more than 700 billion recordings have been seen on YouTube this year alone demonstrating that video creation has such a remarkable effect on people in general. YouTube gets more than 3 billion hits for each day whether it is through "how to" recordings, choke recordings, or through music recordings, the data is gushing right to the shopper with no buffering or suggestions. The customer can see the item in a more imaginative manner that improves its deals and acknowledgment. With its accessibility and consistency, recordings create the capacity to produce conclusions, brand acknowledgment, and ingrain a working association with the client.
You can do so much more on a iPad than merely type! There, in the year 673, true Greek fire - petroleum-based, self-lighting and impervious to water quenching - was said to have been used to devastating effect by Byzantine emperor Constantine IV's forces against an attacking Arab fleet. Oh, well - that's the problem with taking state secrets to your grave. Watching an aeolipile do its work was the equivalent of a Netflix binge back in the day. In the Tom Stoppard play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," dimwitted Rosencrantz repeatedly stumbles onto notable scientific and technical discoveries, often via toys (neither he nor Guildenstern grasp what he's done). These droll scenes raise a thorny question: Do you have to recognize a thing's operational principle to lay claim to discovering it? Should we credit the inventor of a steam-driven toy with the discovery of steam power? Whatever your answer, there's no question that the aeolipile, a toy devised in the first century by inventor Heron of Alexandria, was a steam turbine - a device that turns the thermal energy of escaping steam into mechanical energy.
Kids can dream up some pretty awesome jobs, but can they keep the dream alive when they grow up? If you've ever asked a 5-year-old what she wants to be when she grows up, you'll probably recognize a theme. Astronaut, dancer, poet, princess, unicorn trainer - whatever the answer, it usually sounds like a lot of fun. Fifteen or 20 years later, that sense of fun will likely be trumped by a sense of financial responsibility. It's almost a rite of passage to give up the idea that a grown-up job can be fun. But fun and money aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. To be sure, even in the entertainment industry, Fallon is an anomaly. The jobs in which workers claim to be happiest are far less glamorous, but most pay a decent wage. There are also plenty of jobs that pay next to nothing and are a real drag. And even jobs that once seemed like a lot of fun, once you're in them long enough, can start to feel like work.
