Attention All - Some Facts About World Stocks
Posted: Wed Apr 11, 2012 10:44 pm
World Stocks was set up as an alternative to other boards where rampers and derampers were posting garbage without any information to back their statements up and it was envisioned as a forum where sensible discussion could be had by investors long and short as long as they could back up their arguments with logic.
In light of todays furore ad some of the paranoid I would like to make a few points clear.
1. World Stocks will not be closing down.
2. JR was in sole charge of RUM but he does not own world stocks. Neither the admin nor the other moderators here are responsible for anything that happened on RUM today, but we can assure you that behaviour of that sort would not be tolerated here. If it had happened here then JR would have been subject to sanction just the same as any other member. However nobody is going to be sanctioned on this board for their behaviour elsewhere on the web. I am sure that you can see the logic in that.
3. JR is a valued member of the world stocks community and a great contributor of information but he (and all the other moderators) are subject to the same rules as everyone else on the site. If a moderator breaks one or more of these rules and a complaint is made then they will be subject to the same sanctions as any other user.
4. JR was invited to be a moderator here out of courtesy and respect for his position in the history of RRL and all other moderators were voted for. This is the most transparent and democratic shares bulletin board on the web. We intend to keep it that way.
5. Admin is not JR. I am not prepared to reveal my real-world details on an open forum at this stage (as there are a lot of strange people out there) but all the moderators know the real identity of admin. I have even talked to Trading Faces on the phone and he has all my contact details. If you trust TF / KY & Westbourne (and remember you voted them in) then please accept that this is the case. I hope that they will all post on this thread and confirm that this is the truth.
6. Nobody can see private messages. If you feel concerned about this simply do not use the private messaging system for anything other than exchange of emails then continue any private conversation offline.
7. Only admin can see email addresses and even then only on an individual basis.
8. We decided to start the forum with Range (and related Puntland stocks) and Kaboko. This was because of the interest in Kaboko at the time. Perhaps this was a mistake and we hope to correct it by adding many more companies this evening. It is envisioned that over time this will become a place to discuss all shares in a sensible manner.
9. I realise that today has been a fraught day, but everything that has been written above is true and we can only ask that you give this forum a chance to be something that helps private investors everywhere.
10. To reiterate: Nobody is above the rules. The rules are open and published and if users break then then they will be suspended or banned, If moderators break them they will also be suspended or banned (and lose their moderation powers).
11. If it would make users more comfortable then we are happy to appoint additional moderators from the original democratic vote. Please let us know.
