This lets you scan the articles on the page more efficiently. Sometimes you'll even spot more headlines that you might never have seen buried on the original page. Don't feel badly if you haven't heard of RSS -- you may have already come into contact with it without knowing its name. Some Web-browsing software automatically detects RSS feeds. Firefox and Opera display the now-common square orange badge for a Web feed in the browser's address bar when they find RSS feeds on a site. You'll see a similar symbol in Internet Explorer's toolbar. Safari shows a blue rectangle with "RSS" written in white letters. Those emblems show the presence of active RSS feeds on a site to help you get started. Click on one, though, and you'll get a list of options which may seem a little intimidating if you don't know what they mean. Some sites have multiple feeds for the same page with different versions of RSS or a competing standard, Atom.|It's easy to volunteer with activities like Operation Clean Neighborhood. 2007 Publications International, Ltd. And they have led many people who have marched to ask the next question: What changes are needed in our public life to address systemic racism? We have said all along that we can't address systemic racism apart from poverty, environmental degradation, militarism, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. On June 20, we brought together nearly 3 million people online to hear the stories of the people who are building this campaign and to demand that people running for public office in this election year hear their vision for how we could re-make our life together," he says. "Just this past week, we took that policy platform to Congress. Over the next few weeks, we will be taking it to the Democratic and Republican Conventions. We are telling the politicians what the people need, and we are asking them to commit now to what they are willing to do. Through our state campaigns, we will continue to grow the campaign by registering people for a movement that votes. We've done the research and know that, nationwide, poor and low-income people vote at rates much lower than higher income groups. But we also know of places where just a 5 to10 percent increase in low income voters could shift the political landscape, forcing politicians to listen to the needs of everyday Americans.|We as an individual have various places to meet. We have conference halls, dinner tables, restaurants, movies hall, picnic spots, tourist attractions and list goes on and on. We are now living in the age of Internet that dramatically broadens our horizon. Internet spares nothing, not even World News. Internet has given it a defined platform where every body can come, meet and discuss the issues of current affairs. Current affair has all the latest news about every imaginable topic. That includes news about nations as well. Like India News has its own story to tell in term of being latest. New Horizons, new philosophy of interests, new ideas of representation, new biases and with all this comes new problems. Today suppressing an incident has become very challenging. The moment anything occurs it has potential to become World news. We have mobile camera to catch it. YouTube to share it.
POSTSUBSCRIPT should have their internal structure affected by electron-degeneracy as they contract gravitationally after their formation. Those objects should be unable to release enough energy from hydrogen nuclear burning, since their central temperatures begin to decrease after degeneracy proceeds. They should never go through the usual stellar evolution phases, living as ”failed” stars. The theoretical calculations of the two pioneer papers in 1963 marked the birth of brown dwarfs fifty years ago. Following these predictions, the motivation was there for more theoretical calculations and evolutionary models for brown dwarfs Grossman (1970); Straka (1971); Rappaport and Joss (1984), followed by many others. With the discovery of the first genuine brown dwarfs about 20 years ago, (see the chapters by R. Rebolo, G. Basri, and by B. Oppenheimer in this volume), the theory and modelling of brown dwarfs have constantly developed and improved. The first major theoretical challenge was the development of an equation of state (EOS hereafter) appropriate for the description of the dense and relatively cool interior of brown dwarfs, accounting for the effects of electron partial degeneracy and interaction between particles, namely molecules, atoms, ions and electrons (see Chabrier and Baraffe (2000) and references therein).
You can see footage of that behavior in action in this New Scientist YouTube clip. And then things get even more amazing. As the researchers discovered in a pair of experiments, a one-weaponed boxer crab will split its remaining anemone into two fragments. The resulting fragments then regenerate over the course of several days into two distinct clones. Let's see Bruce Lee do that. Schnytzer and Giman are no strangers to the mystery of crab boxing. The two biologists previously worked on a 2013 study published in the Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology, which revealed the boxer crab's bonsai-like treatment of their claw-clutched bioweapons. They use them to catch food and defend themselves, but they also starve the anemone enough to regulate their size. Now, the researchers' latest study reveals the crab's manipulation goes beyond symbiont tool use. Molecular fingerprinting of anemone pairs taken from wild crabs revealed even more identical clone weapons, suggesting the practice is widespread. Given the apparent absence of wild Alicia sea anemones and the boxer crabs' talent for inducing clonal reproduction, we're left with a tantalizing question: Are there any free-living Alicia left, or does the species continue as a purely cultivated weapon species? The situation would not be unlike the domesticated fungi of leaf-cutter ants. Schnytzer say that the cultivation explanation is possible. “Bottom line, my guess is they exist but are probably very rare,” Schnytzer told HowStuffWorks by email. Regardless, the researchers' findings provide us with a seemingly unique example of one animal inducing the asexual reproduction of another - and for tool use! Humans may claim the honors to bioweapon supremacy for the moment, but the boxer crabs are ready to claim the prize just as soon as we wipe ourselves out with a mishandled plague virus or two.
A blind woman sits in a chair holding a video camera focused on a scientist sitting in front of her. She has a device in her mouth, touching her tongue, and there are wires running from that device to the video camera. The woman has been blind since birth and doesn't really know what a rubber ball looks like, but the scientist is holding one. And when he suddenly rolls it in her direction, she puts out a hand to stop it. The blind woman saw the ball. Well, not exactly through her tongue, but the device in her mouth sent visual input through her tongue in much the same way that seeing individuals receive visual input through the eyes. In both cases, the initial sensory input mechanism -- the tongue or the eyes -- sends the visual data to the brain, where that data is processed and interpreted to form images.
