1) How to select the action keypoints. To be specific, we aggregate the feature map of intermediate layer along the channel dimension to obtain the heatmap. The derived heatmap indicate the confidence score for each spatial-temporal position. N points as the action keypoints by considering scores across all frames. However, the selection operation is non-differentiable, only the selected point can be optimized during training. To alleviate this problem, an auxiliary classification head is introduced for early prediction, which allows back-propagation for every point. Before sending the intermediate feature to the classification head, it will be reweighted by the heatmap, which encourages the task-related points to get higher scores. The selected action keypoints are highly representative, we find that our method can surpass the baseline method while only using 30% points of the whole feature map. 2) How to classify actions using point features. The keypoint selection breaks the original spatial-temporal structure. We demonstrate the feasibility of our approach on three games. Two of them are used as proof-of-concept, by injecting artificial performance bugs. The third one is an open-source 3D game that we load test using the trained agent showing its potential to identify areas of the game resulting in lower FPS. In such a competitive market, releasing high-quality games and, consequently, ensuring a great user experience, is fundamental. However, the unique characteristics of video games (from hereon, games) make their quality assurance process extremely challenging. Also, games can hardly benefit from testing automation techniques (Pascarella et al., 2018), since even just exploring the total space available in a given game level requires an intelligent interaction with the game itself. For example, in a racing game, identifying a bug that manifests when the finish line is crossed requires a player able to successfully drive the car for the whole track (i.e., requires the ability to drive the car).
High precision physics at future colliders as the International Linear Collider (ILC) require unprecedented high precision in the determination of the energy of final state particles. The needed precision will be achieved thanks to the Particle Flow algorithms (PF) which require highly granular and hermetic calorimeters systems. The physical proof of concept of the PF was performed in the previous campaign of beam tests of physic prototypes within the CALICE collaboration. One of these prototypes was the physics prototype of the Silicon-Tungsten Electromagnetic Calorimeter (SiW-ECAL) for the ILC. In this document we present the latest news on R&D of the next generation prototype, the technological prototype with fully embedded very front-end (VFE) electronics, of the SiW-ECAL. Special emphasis is given to the presentation. 250 GeV - 1 TeV. ILC requires unprecedented precision in the energy determination of final states. These techniques rely on single particle separation in the full detector volume to choose the best information available to measure the energy of the final state objects (i.e. measuring the charged particles momentum at tracking devices better than in the calorimeters). Therefore, PF algorithms require highly granular and compact calorimeter systems featuring minimum dead material (high hermeticity).
