Russians advance in Ukrainian cities while EU diplomatic efforts fail

You can do so much more on a iPad than merely type! If you're an iPad user -- or perhaps thinking about becoming one -- you've probably considered the various ways the device can make your life a little more fun. Sure, you can read books, play games or watch movies, but what about using your iPad to organize your life? The market for personal productivity apps has positively exploded since the iPad first came on the market in 2010. App developers have seized on the iPad as a tool that's portable. Flexible enough to accomplish the many different things people need to get done on a daily basis. Look no further than this list of 10 iPad apps for personal productivity. The Notes Plus app for iPad ($4.99) is a great way to take notes in whatever form suits you best. Whether it's by hand, typing or audio recording, Notes Plus can accommodate you; it's even possible to switch from one method to another and back in one note-taking document.
Third, sound is a vibration that travels through a medium, like a gas, a liquid or a solid object. A sound's source is an object that moves or changes shape very rapidly. For example, if you strike a bell, the bell vibrates in the air. As one side of the bell moves out, it pushes the air molecules next to it, increasing the pressure in that region of the air. This area of higher pressure is a compression. As the side of the bell moves back in, it pulls the molecules apart, creating a lower-pressure region called a rarefaction. The bell then repeats the process, creating a repeating series of compressions and rarefactions. Each repetition is one wavelength of the sound wave. The sound wave travels as the moving molecules push. Pull the molecules around them. Each molecule moves the one next to it in turn. Without this movement of molecules, the sound could not travel, which is why there is no sound in a vacuum.|Imagine having to do the work of a jackhammer using a sledgehammer or a pickaxe, and you'll quickly understand how important this one machine is to the construction industry. Concrete, asphalt and rock are hard -- sometimes really hard -- to work with. Thanks to that toughness, roads and building foundations last for decades. But when rebuilding or mining projects require removing these unyielding substances, a sledgehammer just isn't enough. That's when jackhammers come in handy. T-shaped jackhammers are among the most iconic, fearsome and ear-shattering tools on construction and demolition sites. Because they combine two fundamental human hand tools (a hammer and a chisel) in one mechanized body, they are also one of the most useful. We could always go back to the old way -- using heavy-headed sledgehammers -- but there probably aren't enough chiropractors in the world to keep construction workers' backs aligned. Plus, sledgehammers are achingly slow.
Speaking to the Washington Post on Friday, Ukraine’s new Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said it was unclear whether Russian President Vladimir Putin has yet decided to attack. But Russia is building capacity to do so, Budanov told Military Times, increasing troop levels and weapons systems in occupied Crimea and staging systems like Iskandar short-range ballistic missile systems and other weapons elsewhere near the border. And he scoffed at suggestions that the brutal weather conditions during that time of the year would dissuade the Russians from attacking. “It is no problem for us and the Russians,” Budanov said of fighting in the frigid weather. Any such attack, however, would first follow a series of psychological operations currently underway designed to destabilize Ukraine and undermine its ability to fight, said Budanov, speaking through an interpreter. “They want to foment unrest, through protests and meetings, that show the people are against the government,” he said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on what he called Russia’s “partial withdrawal” of troops near Ukraine on Tuesday, one day after Pentagon officials said Russia had sent even more troops to the border region over the last 24 to 48 hours. Putin delivered mixed messages at a press conference in Moscow, suggesting he does not consider the crisis to be resolved as Russia’s key demand that Ukraine is barred from joining NATO has not been met. But he also said there were items in the U.S. “We want to resolve this question right now. In the nearest future, in the course of the negotiating process, with peaceful means,” Putin said. “How will Russia act next? According to plan!” he said. Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated Tuesday that he will not immediately recognize two Russian-controlled breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine as independent. Putin said he believes the idea has the support of the majority of Russians but that he thinks Russia should continue to try to resolve the conflict with Ukraine through the Minsk peace agreements.
After all, we might have a Russian invasion since at least 200,000 Russian troops are gathered pretty close to the Ukrainian border. Both the U.S.. NATO sent letters to Russia.S. NATO sent letters to Russia. We don’t know what’s in the documents; they are not public. It’s a communication between countries, so we’re not engaged in public diplomacy, but we’ve clarified some things. I’m assuming that it states these countries’ position about Ukrainian independence and their right to make their own decisions. Now we’re waiting for a response. It is a case where diplomacy has to come through to create some settlement. There are also some principles involved. From the U.S. standpoint, there’s been a lot of commentary about how we’ve been weak in Afghanistan. We will want to show strength in this instance and back up Ukraine. It is one of those occasions when they say, who’s going to blink first, the Russians or the Americans and NATO?
