What Zelensky's joint address could mean for Biden

Nothing's ever simple. You'd think building a green home would be the smartest choice, but while it's certainly not a stupid thing to do, there are a lot of things to consider before you automatically sign on the (green) dotted line, as I learned while writing this piece. One thing I do know: It's always smart to hang your laundry on the line -- which is a good thing, because that's always been one of my favorite chores. Exchanges of gunfire - in violation of multiple ceasefires - are not unusual in eastern Ukraine. Most evenings, soldiers from either side of the contact line sporadically take shots at each other. However, March 26 saw an unusual spike in fighting near the village of Shumy in Donetsk Oblast. Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed. Another two were wounded in clashes which lasted a full day. In a statement, the Ukrainian military said that “armed forces of the Russian Federation once again violated the ceasefire” using “82 millimetre mortars, automatic grenade launchers and high-calibre machine guns prohibited by the Minsk agreements. On March 30, reports began surfacing about increased Russian troop movements on the country’s border with Ukraine. According to Ukraine’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, troops have been deployed in three places: on Ukraine’s northern and eastern borders, as well as in the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula.
High precision physics at future colliders as the International Linear Collider (ILC) require unprecedented high precision in the determination of the energy of final state particles. The needed precision will be achieved thanks to the Particle Flow algorithms (PF) which require highly granular and hermetic calorimeters systems. The physical proof of concept of the PF was performed in the previous campaign of beam tests of physic prototypes within the CALICE collaboration. One of these prototypes was the physics prototype of the Silicon-Tungsten Electromagnetic Calorimeter (SiW-ECAL) for the ILC. In this document we present the latest news on R&D of the next generation prototype, the technological prototype with fully embedded very front-end (VFE) electronics, of the SiW-ECAL. Special emphasis is given to the presentation. 250 GeV - 1 TeV. ILC requires unprecedented precision in the energy determination of final states. These techniques rely on single particle separation in the full detector volume to choose the best information available to measure the energy of the final state objects (i.e. measuring the charged particles momentum at tracking devices better than in the calorimeters). Therefore, PF algorithms require highly granular and compact calorimeter systems featuring minimum dead material (high hermeticity).
Smart ForTwo microcar, the heretofore Europe-only runabout that's developed a cult following here. Speaking of cults, let's not forget the Mini Cooper, still a solid hit with young, hip urbanites and a solid moneymaker for BMW. But there's another reason why Trax is doing The Big Apple. It's a likely preview of a redesigned Matiz, a front-wheel-drive, 1.0-liter three-cylinder mini-hatchback sold in many overseas markets under the Chevrolet and Daewoo labels. That makes it a very important product for GM's global business. You may not be aware, but Chevrolet has lately become GM's worldwide "value" brand, with GMDAT the assigned source for all GM vehicles smaller than the Chevrolet Cobalt. That includes U.S. products like the 2008 Saturn Vue, a South Korean effort that is sold in Europe as the near-identical Opel Antara and entry-level Chevrolet Captiva. In short, Trax suggests GM is thinking globally about minicars, especially for developing countries, and could act locally if or when U.S. Trax is one of three new General Motors "global" concept vehicles unveiled at the 2007 New York Auto Show to test public reaction to a new class of small Chevrolets.
Putin said the military operation was needed to protect civilians in eastern Ukraine - a claim the U.S. Putin accused the U.S. Russia’s demands to block Ukraine from ever joining NATO. Offer Moscow security guarantees. Putin said Russia does not intend to occupy Ukraine but will “demilitarize” it. Soon after his address, explosions were heard in the cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa. Russia said it was attacking military targets. Ukraine’s border guard agency said the Russian military has attacked from neighboring Belarus, unleashing a barrage of artillery. The agency said Ukrainian border guards fired back, adding that there was no immediate report of casualties. Russian troops have been in Belarus for military drills. Biden, Stoltenberg and other world leaders quickly condemned Russia’s attack as unprovoked and unjustified. Putin “has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering,” Biden said in a statement.
To do this, we'll need to understand how current laptops are structured. Basically, the laptops with which we're all familiar consist of many individual components, each fixed within a metal frame. The entire structure opens. Closes like a book. Not only does a traditional laptop's metal frame form a rigid shell, but most of its internal components are bulky and rigid, too. The largest of these components is the screen, or display. There are several different types of modern computer displays, each built with different technologies, but most of today's displays are inflexible, bulky and surprisingly fragile. The hard disk drive, used to store memory, is another large and rigid component of a traditional laptop. The list continues and includes many other components you're probably familiar with, such as the CD/DVD drive and the battery. There are at least three main components to the Fabric PC design that will allow this to happen. First of all, the computer display will be constructed from a cutting-edge technology called e-paper, allowing the display screen to be paper-thin and bendable.|The self-important apprentice Simon (Sim) Tappertit plays a significant role in Charles Dickens's story. Barnaby Rudge (1841) is an historical novel which concerns itself with the Gordon Riots of 1780. The posturing Sim Tappertit is a central figure within the riots, narrowly escaping the hangman's noose for his actions. The following analysis explores Sim's involvement in the narrative. Briefly looks at two possible real-life prototypes for his character. The excerpts are from the Oxford World's Classics 2003 edition of the text. Dickens characterizes Sim as ambitious and conceited. Of slender build and diminutive stature, Sim is inordinately proud of his legs, being "enraptured to a degree amounting to enthusiasm" (p.43) in regards to them. He works as an apprentice to the locksmith Gabriel Varden, of whom he harbours a deep-seated contempt, and considers himself intended for greater things. He is also in love with Dolly, Gabriel's daughter, an infatuation he shares with his rival for her affections Joe Willet.
