While technology and allied services as a segment has been long viewed as a defensive play, the sector seems to be entering a multi-year expansion cycle with developments in specific favour of export-oriented firms in the segment. The sector can be expected to serve as an efficient hedge in the near term. Active performance contributor in the longer term. From an effective asset allocation and maintenance standpoint, dynamic asset allocation as a category has many funds that can be expected to augur well for investors. For aggressive investors with a longer-term horizon, now could be a good time to stagger and allocate towards mid and small-cap-oriented funds. Now could be a good time to build allocations towards funds with established credibility in identifying value plays. For the tactical component, thematic plays in favour of themes like domestic manufacturing, banking & financial services, technology and consumption can be expected to do well in the near term. Diversified global equities could be a strong addition; one must simply be cautious to not over-allocate to U.S.
Fujitsu's Fabric PC concept. See more computer pictures. Imagine walking to school or work with a brand-new type of laptop computer in hand. You walk casually, swinging the laptop back and forth between your arms, which is easy, since it weighs well under one pound (0.45 kg) and isn't much thicker than a checkbook. Although it has no carrying case, you hardly blink after dropping it onto the concrete sidewalk. Instead you pick it up, dust it off, and continue on your way. When you arrive at your desk, you toss the laptop down on the table and open it up. The screen immediately unfolds, spreading out into an enormous display! While this scenario sounds very futuristic, it actually isn't that far from reality, thanks in part to a concept design called a Fabric PC (personal computer), produced by Fujistu, Inc. Amazingly, a Fabric PC won't be encased within a tough metal shell like the PCs that have been around up to this point.|Sooner or later every small or medium business owner realizes that he needs their business website. And almost everybody wants to have a great web site, affordable, because usually web site design budget is quite limited. There are several ways to find the best solution. Someone wants to develop the site himself - but it takes a lot of time and work away from the general business, and let's be frank - I have seen many of these "DIY" - web sites lack the professional touch and look unfinished or overworked. Someone decides to hire a professional web design company, but a limited budget, if he has to say "good buy" a lot of features that he wants to see a web site because web design companies, as well as business and they can not work "Thank you" only. So, what do you do if you have a great web site, but your web design budget is limited?
Google isn't content with simply syncing smartphones -- the company wants to get its technology much deeper into the car. With each new model of car on the streets, more automakers are assuming that people want their phones and their cars to be interconnected. It seems like Apple already cast a spell over the auto industry, since iPhone and iPod integration are a major, almost standard, selling feature on a lot of new and recently introduced cars. Naturally, Apple's competitors aren't too happy about the situation, because if such features are commonplace, it implies that Apple's technology is the standard for smartphones and tablets, whether or not consumers and statistics agree. In other words, your new car is all set up to communicate with the Apple devices that the auto manufacturer assumes most people have, and it doesn't really matter whether or not such an assumption is correct. Google doesn't like it because Google owns Android, Apple's main competition in the mobile device market, and accepting that iPhones deserve an automatic spot in most (if not all) new cars means accepting and conceding that Android phones do not.
Good design doesn't necessarily mean high-end and fancy. Sometimes it's just a matter of making sure you meet human needs. See more home design pictures. Good design doesn't have to be froufrou. It can be simple and useful in its beauty, making use of natural elements. Often it's a matter of looking to things that are important to you apart from conventional ideas and to what the idea of home means to you and your family. Poor planning and small budgets can lead to design mistakes, but often flaws become apparent as newer and better ways of home planning and construction come into favor. If you find some of these problems in your home, take heart. You're not alone, and there are ways to resolve the situation. Carpenters and handymen have been around for thousands of years, and many do-it-yourself experts learned about home improvement while coming up with workable solutions for design flaws and getting hooked on the problem solving itself.

Risk analysis is broadly defined to include risk assessment, risk characterization, risk communication, risk management, and policy relating to risk, in the context of risks of concern to individuals, to public- and private-sector organizations, and to society at a local, regional, national, or global level. A focal point for new developments in the theory and practice of risk analysis for researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, including behavioral, biological, decision, economic, engineering, health, physical, and social sciences. SRA members are part of a growing and thriving community characterized by a shared commitment to excellence in risk analysis theory and practice. The diverse interests of members support a wide range of SRA specialty groups. The Advanced Materials and Technologies Specialty Group (AMTSG) works to further the risk analysis of many new and exciting materials and technologies currently being developed including the areas of additive manufacturing (e.g. 3D-printing), nanotechnology, bio-based and synthetic biology.
