The outrigger array is composed of 345 tanks filled with purified water. Each tank is 1.55 m in diameter and 1.65 m in height and they are separated with distance between 12 to 18 m. They are equipped by a single Hamamatsu R5912 8” photomulitplier tube (PMT) upward facing and anchored at the bottom of the tank. In order to limit the cable length between tanks and the readout electronics, the array is divided into 5 sections, named with letters from A to E (see Fig 1) containing 69 tanks each. The equipment needed to run and acquire the data for each section is centralised into nodes located in the middle of each section. The deployment of the outrigger array happened between September 2017. September 2018 (the timeline can be seen in Figure 1). The array has been continuously taking data since then. Analogue signals from the PMTs are sent through RG-59 cables to the node. This signal is separated from the HV that powers the PMT by a pick-off module.|Wayne Williams, then a suspect in the Atlanta Child Murders, is led away in handcuffs. Williams was later convicted, though many doubt he was responsible for all the killings. For more than 35 years, Wayne Bertram Williams has lived behind bars, shut away for kidnapping and slaying some 30 Atlantans between 1979 and 1981. The victims were typically male, black, poor, and between 9 and 14 years of age, and the crimes terrified Atlanta's African-American community. But did police nab the real murderer? A lot of people don't think so. Many believe Williams killed some, but not all, of the victims. And Williams has always proclaimed his innocence regarding the child victims. In hopes of unearthing the truth, Payne Lindsey and Donald Albright created the 10-episode podcast Atlanta Monster. The duo, founders of Tenderfoot TV, already have had some success in this regard. Their 2016 true-crime podcast, Up and Vanished, elicited new information about the 2005 cold-case murder of Tara Grinstead, a Georgia teacher, that led to two arrests.

First, gravity is a force that causes objects to attract one another. The simplest way to understand gravity is through Isaac Newton's law of universal gravitation. This law states that every particle in the universe attracts every other particle. The more massive an object is, the more strongly it attracts other objects. The closer objects are, the more strongly they attract each other. An enormous object, like the Earth, easily attracts objects that are close to it, like apples hanging from trees. Scientists haven't decided exactly what causes this attraction, but they believe it exists everywhere in the universe. Second, air is a fluid that behaves essentially the same way liquids do. Like liquids, air is made of microscopic particles that move in relation to one another. Air also moves like water does -- in fact, some aerodynamic tests take place underwater instead of in the air. The particles in gasses, like the ones that make up air, are simply farther apart and move faster than the particles in liquids.|How Do Sparklers Work? When the United States celebrates its Independence Day, focus turns to topics both serious and lighthearted. While the long July 4 weekend prompts thoughts of the meaning of democracy and representative, republican government, it also inspires family gatherings, grilled food and festive displays of celebratory fireworks. But while many people have engaged in shooting off a bottle rocket or marveling at explosive spectacle high in the sky, one of the most common forms of firework is the humble sparkler. The fine folks at the American Chemical Society have put together an easy-to-understand video about sparklers featuring some pretty cool slow-motion action. Fuel sources for sparklers can be iron, titanium, aluminum and magnesium and more. And what exactly sparkles in a sparkler? It's powdered metals catching fire, and what you see fly off into lovely sparkles are actually tiny ignited fragments of metal. They're also super hot - from 1800 to 2900 degrees Fahrenheit (1000 to 1600 degrees Celsius), but burn up quickly due to their microscopic size.
Sales of the NES were phenomenal. This established Nintendo as the dominant home video game manufacturer until the late '90s, when it was eclipsed by the rival Sony PlayStation. In 1989, Nintendo introduced a new 16-bit system dubbed the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Within a couple of years, rivals had introduced 32-bit systems that eclipsed the capabilities of the SNES. So, Nintendo announced an agreement with Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) to develop a new 64-bit video game system, code-named Project Reality. Although SGI had never designed video game hardware before, the company was regarded as one of the leaders in computer graphics technology. But the delays and shortage of games during the first year of availability gave the advantage to Sony, who had released the PlayStation over a year earlier. Nintendo 64 uses a customized chip system. Let's take a look at the components inside an N64, and what their capabilities are.|Unpaired video-to-video translation aims to translate videos between a source and a target domain without the need of paired training data, making it more feasible for real applications. Unfortunately, the translated videos generally suffer from temporal and semantic inconsistency. To address this, many existing works adopt spatiotemporal consistency constraints incorporating temporal information based on motion estimation. However, the inaccuracies in the estimation of motion deteriorate the quality of the guidance towards spatiotemporal consistency, which leads to unstable translation. In this work, we propose a novel paradigm that regularizes the spatiotemporal consistency by synthesizing motions in input videos with the generated optical flow instead of estimating them. Therefore, the synthetic motion can be applied in the regularization paradigm to keep motions consistent across domains without the risk of errors in motion estimation. Thereafter, we utilize our unsupervised recycle and unsupervised spatial loss, guided by the pseudo-supervision provided by the synthetic optical flow, to accurately enforce spatiotemporal consistency in both domains. Experiments show that our method is versatile in various scenarios and achieves state-of-the-art performance in generating temporally and semantically consistent videos.
It's a variety of engineered stone countertop made from quartz -- 93 percent quartz to be exact. Quartz is an abundant and inexpensive gemstone, and it makes an ideal countertop in many ways. Combine ground quartz with coloring pigment and a binding agent, and you have one of the most durable manufactured countertops on the market. And it's green, to boot. They come in many different colors as well sure to match your kitchen like tan, black, brown, and rose quartz to name a few. It may sound like a professional wrestling tandom, but Silestone and Zodiaq are actually the two brand names of manufactured quartz countertops. Silestone has made the biggest splash in an attempt to make the name synonymous with quartz countertops, like Formica is for laminate tops. How? By investing in a Super Bowl commercial in 2005. It cost them two and half million bucks, but their products are now available in 3,500 stores.
