I think it means that my £10,000 is about to take a tumble :(

I suspect that GKP will be down significantly and its going to be a case of
a) GKP listing on the FTSE
b) Iraq and kurdistan settling their differences
c) Another supermajor willing to anger baghdad and bidding.

before we see significant movement, they can proove up all the oil in the world (well i guess they have) but the price wont move upwards.

I dont necessarily believe it will tumble, but agree that there is no imminent takeover as previously thought.therefore lot of trading rather than investing i believe.

Keep up, that news was refuted by the KRG who say Exxon are still active in the north.

Oh really?

It would be lovely to actually have all the news at my finger tips, I always feel like im one step behind the game!

I have never been lucky / clever enough to trade so I will continue to hold my GKP (just like I hold RMP and RRL) Im currently 180% up anway..would be lovely to hit 1000% up..something that I have never achieved.

I hope the link works Aloreth. GKP misinformation seems to be churned out almost daily now. What a rollercoaster, never know what to believe!

Means nothing. Refuted quickly by KRG and then Exxon. Just Iraqi politicians playing like amateurs.

bought back in today, first tranch at 217p...has and may go lower so second buy looking at 202-4p, falls and breaks 200p on day close, then i'll take the loss. Hopefully its hit the bottom and will rebound from here, at this price im happy to invest. Alot of crap about TO beed posted, but there should be positive news flow from SH4, 5 and 6 due in upcoming weeks.

It's Bolivia or bust with these and I just slammed them in a bottom drawer and will look again when the dust settles. I think we're in for all manner of games (especially on forums) before anything becomes clear. Holding fast though, still think these could be a golden child among current crops of shares.

Nice update this morning. Just goes to show we are being traded by pretty much everyone. Low HSBC valuations etc... Onwards and upwards and I genuinely believe a takeover will come. How could any major possibly not take on the largest find in Kurdistan to date.

sold at 232p and took profit, it held up well and the flow tests with acid stimulation are very encouraging for recovery factors...just with wider markets the way they are i needed to be more in cash...hope to get back in after RRL results.

I got a feeling it will trade between 200-240. If it breaks 200 then back to 170.

dont think it will breach 200p, to many buyers at this level, unless news dictates otherwise, but we can take 10-15 points a time playing on the swings.
its being paitent and waiting... lets see what happens tommorow.
good luck.

not sure sub 220p a must, but will try for 210p if the sell pressure dictates. if not wait for another day. 215 could give us 10 points in a week i think.

markets are better and seems 228 a bit of a pivot point, may look at 220/221p as an entry now if it drops tommorow.

It looks good but I think more upside in Xcite at the moment, so got another 30pp there. Short-term target 128-130.

105 absolute bargain imo. 130 short term. 200-220 longer term easy. Great upside from here.

couldnt break 230p today, so not enough points for a quick day trade, next week will look at 233, or depending on markets another run to 240p and then out.
good call on xel, did you take 111 or stay in?

good anaysis presentation today before market could react to it, triassic footage potential doubled, which is where the light oil is, with good flow rates, will move recovery factors up. I wouldnt take much heed of TO talk whist excaliber case and iraqi politics are still sticking points, however i do expect announcements on BIR's this month on blocks in the Kurdistan region, which will bring in new major players, if this happens we could see 300p+
May keep this long a bit longer this time, and go for bigger gains.

SASP I'd ignore speeder to be honest. He was 110% sure of the bid front Exxon. It never arrived so he brushed it Under the carpet with, yeah but I knew the price was going to go up(he was predicting £10 trading during feb), then his attention shifted to may. Who knows, just take everything with a pinch of salt.

One person who does seem to be on the ball though is noble trader so keep an eye out for his posts Ono other forums usually copied across to iii.

I was going to reply with this earlier but couldn't find the link on my phone. He's a summary someone on iii posted of Nobletraders previous posts..

TSC..NT overview

He told us Exxon in Kurd month before anyone got wind....That sets his cred up

Next offer on table for £8 ....still to be verified

SP rises through the £4 mark and he says its going to fall heavy....it does....but then he says hold on as its going further back....it did.

SH6 drilling faster than expected...confirmed....then no water hit....confirmed

Shaikan a monster....well that info is more than expected but he said it and its just gone a whole lot bigger.

BIR signed up and going to an assortment of who`s who of the oil world.....to be confirmed but if true...MASSIVE

Talk of pipeline construction all over Erbil and Chinese running the show...To be confirmed

Thats about it, you can all make up your own minds....i will not be dismissing him in a hurry.

Am happy to be in GKP at present for BIR news, but tbh nobletrader is a fraud, and ramper who pumps his bull on a weekend on a closed period , I have proof he is part of keop ramp brigade, but it doesn't matter, just play the sipp/ res on this one you will make money.

Hi TF,
Any chance of you telling us your tactics regarding this recent investment in GKP e.g. how confident of rise, stop loss level if you have one, target, if/when you may take some profit?

Cheers,

easy,

fluid strategy at the moment.

put simply I have been told to be in by someone I trust.

The sequential monday bullish RNS's mean May is shaping up nicely imo from GKP.

Back in Rights for some Kurdistan Blocks should be awarded this month, it may or may not be the right for Shaiken, but it should signal some big players like Total and Chevron entering the fray, which should give a boost.
One 'danger' could be a placing, as GKP will be running low on cash soon, depends what they are getting for 5000bopd, most/all going to local market.
Was tempted to trade and sell at 238 today, but think i will hold on a week or so to see what happens.

Can't see a TO ...but I think the long awaited and much talked about awarding of the BIR could be the catalyst for a massive game changer

10 green bottles getting filled should see significant de-risking of GKP's licences.

And EVEN TF has jumped in, ( i'll forgive you for ticking up the darkside TF ) so thats good enough for me to smell something is about to break.

Gawd knows what TF and the dark side (Horsesshoe and BMU)are seeing on the L2 but its GETTING them excited :)

Its a crazy CRAZZY world in GKPland ......

Down 6p within opening 10 mins ...then up 15p and now down again ....

Whatever's going on .... the average PI can only sit and wait this out, this is way beyond their control.......hopefully come the start of June all will become much clearer.

Crazzzzy .....

Indeed crazy.....all one can say is that an oilfind of this magnitude just must be worth more than £2-£3 /share .....and as PIs we are tossed around in the waves of BIg Oil/ International interest like pieces of flotsam. One of these days...hopefully sooner rather than later...someone will buy it.

Spot on jgough

The market seems to do as it pleases regardless of news.Till we get the BIR's confirmed we are just a play thing for the market and traders.

The pipe line will be a massive game changer for the region and will allow the KRG to move away from central control and look at other options ...independence ???? (AND guaranteed revenue)

I would like to think TK is keeping his powder dry (I hope), not wanting to give too much a way before someone comes in and puts a value to what's already in the public domain ????

Just bought my first ever holding of GKP at 186. In the SIPP until takeover time. Will derisk my overweight RRL/RMP holding into some other oilies if Puntland comes in - lots of oversold energy stocks out there at the moment (INFA is a giveaway as is CHAR).
