Re: UKOG up 200 %

I dunno. I wouldn't underestimate the government backing it could get, to push things through, if it really is all it's cracked up to be. Do wonders for energy security and the economy. However the question remains as to how much is really down there and whether it is worth extracting at all. That's...

Re: UKOG up 200 %

Exactly Sebastian. If you struggle to maintain the rise with this level of media coverage what is going to support it when that hysteria fades and the spotlight moves on as it always does.

Re: UKOG up 200 %

Probably now would be a reasonable time. Levelled off at 3.3ish and volume continuing to drop along with the price (not sure whether I'll risk it though - have to try not to let boredom push me into a decision :p).

Re: UKOG up 200 %

Not sure. It's the game of guessing how long the hype lasts. I'd be less thinking of a price and more watching the volume start to dwindle along with the price.

Re: UKOG up 200 %

Looking to short that but trying to pick the right time. OIP gets touted as a headline to sound amazing and then when reality sets in things nearly always drop. As the Telegraph put it "A number of industry experts have expressed scepticism about the size of the discovery." Or listen to th...

Re: GKP! Buying opportunity

Still wary of these big drills personally. Too much to lose, on results obviously, but also following on from that if it's not good and therefore increases the skepticism (rightly or wrongly) of how subsequent drills will go, and increases the risk of fundraising unless they're incredibly well funde...

Re: GKP! Buying opportunity

Everything's a gamble on AIM but it's a decent risk/reward punt at this price for the chance of a takeover / farmout imo. Shouldn't be too much lower to go if it does, so easy to approach with a smallish punt, then increase slightly if it ever dips much. Annoyingly only got in at 62.5p as the intern...

GAME to float

Don't think I've ever bothered posting here but anyway... GAME are apparently going to float according to an email they just spammed me with. Upside: Game industry is huge and has been growing for a long time (for obvious reasons). Downside: Physical retailers are dying a death (slow or fast dependi...
