copied from advfn - interesting read as FRR valued Georgia block for around 70m!!

Edgein 20 Oct'14 - 10:56 - 15857 of 15858

The numbers some of you are talking about are not unreasonable for the value of Georgian blocks. Here's an extract from the FRR interims about a company earning 50% on part of their block in Georgia and they're carrying $36m for 50% earn, that puts the value of this part of the 100% block at $72m:

Frr recent interims:

"In April 2014, the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Frontera Resources Georgia Corporation, has signed a farmout agreement with Varang Exploration Limited ("Varang Exploration"), a wholly owned subsidiary of a privately held independent natural resources investment group, for the farmout of up to a 50% working interest in Frontera's Taribani Field and Taribani Field Complex, situated within Block 12 in Georgia. In consideration for this transaction, Frontera will receive a carry on its future expenditure on the Taribani Field and the greater Taribani Field Complex of up to approximately US$36 million for the costs associated with a seven well drilling program over three phases. Frontera will continue to act as managing Operator for all planned operations. The Company will retain 100% working interest throughout the balance of its Block 12 holdings."

This is only a small part of this very large block, but these aren't tiny sums of money that are being committed. So its not unreasonable to think that RRL and RMP could be in for a very reasonable pay out on selling their Georgian assets.

"In the Republic of Georgia, Red Emperor has a 20% working interest in onshore blocks VIa and VIb, covering approx. 6,500km2."

Decent size of acreage might fecth a decent amount to the right buyer. It'll be iteresting to see if the cash deal will bring these back to life again.

Regards,
Ed.

not long to wait before Mar 15. well, RMP may well drilled well before Mar 15.

this will hype on expectation as if strike oil, will be worth near 50p alone to RMP

so, well worth to wait a couple more months!!

around 10p most likely on confirmation of progress in georgia. But, should we then proceed with drilling in Jan/Feb, i may wait till just before result as this will get pumped throughout the drilling. RMP may get back to the high of 30p or so, (still only 75m market cap - way below TRP market cap of 150m during drilling)
