JLP valued at 80p?

JLP sp has dropped mainly due to perhaps forced seller which as it seems now, sellers have dried up.

JLP has NPV of the main project Tjate worth $1bn and about to start production. Now awaiting for mining licence approval anytime.

many brokers now starting to place BUY rating and I believe sub 2p will be very undervalued indeed.

several news are expecting anytime

JLP producer of platinum and also generator of electricity.

consumers now will pay extra for electricity, increasing revenue for JLP. This is excellent news for JLP. see below:

excellent news for JLP. South africa just showed their commitment to develop platinum assets by approving Ivanhoe mining application. JLP will be the next one to be approved. BOD was saying we should get anytime now. JLP sp has been sub 2p as nobody believe south africa will approve any platinum mining application. well, the news below is very positive indeed.

Chinese increasing interested in Platinum mine in South africa.

Last friday Eastern Platinum TSE:ELR received takoever offer from Hebei Zhongbo around double market cap.

see Google finance, was up 100%

JLP, which own large platinum mines and under production, is also very attractive and wont be surprised many chinese firms are eyeing or will be looking for buying out JLP.

Yesterday our Central Rand Gold (a formerly sick sick man!) received a takeover offer and has seen a 200% spike. Now everything consolidating around 23p where the next up-leg is in preparation.

the next one most likely will be taken over would be JLP imho. acquirer maybe waiting for JLP to get mining licence and soon after that will takeover.

i have been monitoring this share since 2012 and it is now 89% down. I was told about it by a good friend. not yet invested, but I have to say at the current sp. it is very tempting.
i may dip in after i have got over range...

I have been following the chat on JLP with great interest and used the negativity to build a sizeable position at bargain basement prices.
Firstly there is almost zero debt in JLP- so zero risk investment. Companies only go bust if they have debt.
Secondly, the platinum price fell thru the floor in the last few years, where all platinum investors lost their boots (not only JLP investors).
Thirdly, there is a world class unmined reserve in Tjate, of 65m PGM ounces we are told. Pls use google maps to see where Tjate is located. It is right alongside Twickenham (mined by AngloPlatinum,40m ounces proven) and Marula (mined by Impala Platinum, 20m ounces). Hence the interest by AngloPlatinum to purchase Quartzhill for R75m. Also with these 2 mines right alongside Tjate, there is DEFINITELY PGM in Tjate. Even if one assumes that the reserve is worth a miserly $1 per ounce, this would value Tjate at $65m. JLP owns 70% of this so their share is $45m (or R500m approx.). There are 620m shares in issue so worth 80 cents. Of course they cant/wont sell Tjate until the mining license is received (took Ivanhoe approx. 6 months to get theirs)-so we should know in Feb/March.Getting the license is important as it releases R75m payment from Quartzhill-which will help fund the tailings plants (Hernic and ASA). What is the urgency of selling the Tjate reserve though? We KNOW there is PGM (and lots of it!) based on AngloPlats and Implats operations right next door). If I had property in Regent/Bond Street in London where there are lots of tourists and high-end stores, would I be rushing to sell it? In the same way why rush to crystallise Tjate (it has good neighbours who someday may want to buy it). Also the relationship with ASA brings in China Construction Bank as a potential buyer and the Hernic deal the Japanese. As though u need friendly parties for a scarce PGM (that can only be found in Zimbabwe and South Africa). When the Platinum price is $1500 to $1800, and the mining license received)- the reserve could sell for $2 or $3 per ounce. So R1.60 to R2.40 just for Tjate! And the shares trade at 31cents n SA (SO 5-8 times money just on Tjate!)

It is worth watching IMO but I wouldn't try and trade the moves just yet as it looks like they were triggering stops
